Sustainability is an increasingly important topic for many companies. Greenyard is also proactively working on this theme. Specifically, Greenyard wanted to reduce the phosphorous content of its waste water. Besides having a positive effect on the environment, it was also an opportunity to look at how to clean more safely.
Together with Greenyard analysis were conducted, tests performed and ensured that the new cleaning procedures were also secured within daily operations. The result: 638kg less phosphorus in wastewater per year.
Sharing the unique flavour of one of the oldest beers in the world with as many people as possible: that is Lindemans Brewery’s mission. They do this by brewing with passion and always being creative and innovative. In terms of cleaning, Tensio likes to contribute to this story. Both in support and optimisation of the current cleaning processes and in the development of a completely new chemicals room at the new site in Ruisbroek. By cooperating with Tensio for the design and layout of its chemicals room, Lindemans Brewery opts for a total package of knowledge, advice and care.
Full craftsmanship, that’s what they continuously focus on at Van Lieshout Snacks. This focus on quality does not stop at production. High quality standards continue throughout all their activities. And that is also the case regarding their cleaning process. Specifically, they worked with Tensio to raise the procedure for cleaning the ovens to a ‘best practice’ level. Tensio’s approach of continuous improvement results in a benefit of 15,000 euros a year for Van Lieshout Snacks.

Tensio served OVI a custom-made PDCA method that shortened the baking oven cleaning by 4 hours. This brings a 4-hour advantage of extra production time! Moreover, this approach reduces the consumption of hot water and energy, as well as chemicals.

Sustainable production and business is one of Beltaste’s main objectives in the coming years. That is why the snack producer and Tensio joined forces to reduce the usage of cleaning water to less than 3.5 litres per kilogram of finished product. Good for around 10% reduction in water consumption.
As a result of targeted PDCA work, Tensio developed an approach whereby, through joint actions with Beltaste, cleaning and disinfection processes were step by step improved and less water is needed. This without cutting back on quality. And that was greatly appreciated by Beltaste.
